These photographs show a new residence built on the water in Watermill, Long Island. The lot was limited in size and the owner wanted to maximize the footprint and also include a pool, which could not be sited on the waterside. The house is constructed of brick with a slate roof.

This house was built on the water on the East End of Long Island. A gambrel roof was joined with a gabled wing housing the master suite. This enabled it to be on the first floor and very private. Maximizing water views was a key element in the design of this house.

The issue of scale is addressed in this residence with a nestled hipped roof line and a romantic feeling is achieved with the various curved lines and rounded dormers. This house is located on a pond in the East End of Long Island.
